UWG Music continues to be a major contributor to the quality of life in the western region of the state. Faculty and student recitals, large ensemble and chamber music concerts, and performances at special events on and off campus enrich the cultural life of the West Georgia and Carrollton communities and beyond. The department's training of performers and preparation of music teachers ensure the continuation and expansion of musical life for future generations of citizens.
Many people choose to support the promise of a musical future in our region through financial, material, and in-kind gifts to the program through the UWG Foundation. Many choose to contribute to an existing scholarship fund (or to the creation of a new fund) to support deserving, talented students. Others contribute toward a major purchase or renovation. However people choose to contribute, we consider them to be Friends of Music.
If you agree that the University of West Georgia Music Program is a valuable resource for the present and future cultural life of our society, please consider becoming one of the many Friends of Music by calling the UWG Foundation at 678-839-6582 or by selecting "Friends and Patrons of Music" online.
