Welcome
The University of West Georgia Theatre Department offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts, which is accredited through the National Association of Schools of Theatre. Accreditation through NAST means our theatre curriculum, both in the classroom and in the rehearsal room, meets the highest national standards. The Theatre Program is holistic in nature; students are provided the opportunity to work in all aspects of theatre, from acting to designing, directing to writing, and building to managing. When our students graduate, they enter their careers with skills in creative problem-solving, thinking and adapting quickly, and working collaboratively with a wide range of people and personalities . Students and faculty in our department participate in the Southeastern Theatre Conference, Georgia Theatre Conference, United States Institute for Theatre Technology and the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival each year.
