Incoming First-Year Students - Apply Now!

First-year Student Admission to the Honors College is based on a holistic evaluation of high school GPA, SAT/ACT test scores*, Honors Admissions essay, and record of extracurricular engagement.

*Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the University System of Georgia is allowing students to apply for admission without submitting SAT or ACT scores for the Spring, Summer and Fall 2021 semesters. Students who have SAT/ACT scores may still submit them. The Honors College would encourage students who have standardized test scores to submit them but applications from students without standardized test scores will receive equal evaluation. Since decisions are made based upon a holistic evaluation of a student’s application, there are still other measures by which each student can be evaluated.

Typically, students admitted to the Honors College have had at least a 3.5 high school GPA, a minimum 1250 SAT composite or 26 ACT composite, and have exhibited extra-curricular engagement. Admission is competitive.
