Danny Gourley Fischer

Danny began his career in higher education working in academic support for athletes at Middle Tennessee State University, his alma mater, in 1996. After completing his graduate degree in higher education administration, he took a position with the United States Army as an education counselor before returning to athletic academic support at Washington State University. Danny joined the University of West Georgia in 2010 and was named the first permanent Director of the Center for Adult Learners and Veterans in 2016. Twice named as Employee of the Year, his work includes academic advising, academic support services, career counseling, student advocacy, and enrollment management functions.
